Description:

cds-AGL SlotRestore flex eco is a flexible, plasticiser-free, low-viscosity two-component reaction resin based on epoxy resin. cds-AGL SlotRestore flex eco is characterised by a high bio-based content, i.e. parts of the fossil-based carbon have been replaced by a bio-based carbon content.

Application:

cds-AGL SlotRestore flex eco used for filling cable slots and ducts in concrete and asphalt surfaces (not suitable for casting expansion joints!). At temperatures >25 ∘ C, a maximum of 25% fire-dried quartz sand with a grain size of 0.1-0.3 mm can be added.

Properties:

  • Specific weight (mixture): 1,80 g/cm 3
  • Solids content: 98±2% by weight
  • Mixing ratio: 83:17
  • Bio-based content (based on binding agent): ≥15%
  • Minimum curing or object temperature:
    + 5∘C (Hardener FH)
    + 3∘C (Hardener FH-Super)
  • Maximum processing or object temperature:
    + 25∘C (Hardener FH)
    + 20∘C (Hardener FH-Super)
  • Test certificates: 9945.1 Chemical resistance test, Polymer Institut, Wicker
  • Subsurface: The cable slots or ducts must be dry, stable and free of dust, loose rock, grease and oil. Clean using a joint sweeper or rotating steel brushes, for example. Blow out slots or ducts with compressed air. Concrete edges must be pre-coated with cds-Primer MB eco.
  • Delivery unit: 10 kg incl. Hardener
  • Colours: Grey or Black
  • Shelf life/ Storage: Shelf life of both components is two years after date of production, if stored in sealed, original container. Keep container tightly closed, store in a dry place and, if possible, at +15 ∘ C to +20 ∘ C. Avoid direct sunlight.

Mixing:

The base component (A) and hardener component (B) are packaged in precisely measured mixing ratios. Component B is emptied completely into component A (drip out or scrape out) and both components are then mixed thoroughly and intensively. An electric hand mixer is recommended for mixing, e.g. a slow-running drill (300-400 rpm) with a mixing basket attached. When mixing, scrape the sides and bottom of the container several times. Mix for approx. 2-3 minutes until the material is homogeneous and visibly free of streaks. Then pour into a clean container and mix again.

Processing:

Cable ducts and slots in asphalt pavements: cds-AGL SlotRestore flex eco fill to the top edge of the asphalt road surface Cable ducts and slots in concrete pavements: Prime the concrete sides with cds-Primer MB eco, then fill within approx. 2 hours the cable slot or duct with cds-AGL SlotRestore rigid eco up to the upper edge of the concrete runway.

Cleaning:

Tools should be cleaned immediately after the end of the work or before extended inter- ruption of the work using cds-EP-Thinner/Cleaner. Material components and cleaner must not be allowed to enter the drainage system, water or ground water, but must be disposed of properly.

Danger warnings:

Avoid skin contact, especially with the hardener component. If splashes get into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately. Please observe the general safety regulations of the employers’ liability insurance association, in particular the instructions for use ‘Epoxy resins in the construction industry’ (www.arbeitssicherheit.de), as well as the hazard warnings and safety advice in the safety data sheets and on the delivery containers. The containers must be stored in a child-proof manner and children must be kept away during processing. After curing, the product is physiologically harmless. Product residues can be disposed of with household waste after curing. Uncleaned packaging and liquid components must be disposed of in accordance with official regulations (see information in the safety data sheet). Cured product residues can be recycled in a suitable waste incineration plant under waste code number 20 03 01 ‘Mixed municipal waste’.

VOC content labelling, EU Regulation 2004/42 (Decopaint Directive):

  • Cat All/j/sb, EU limit value 500 g/l (2010): cds-AGL SlotRestore flex eco contains <500 g/l VOC.
  • Giscode: RE90

ADR class:

  • Base component (A): None
  • Hardener (B) FH, FH-Super: Class 8, II
